We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance large-scale cloud hosting environments. This role focuses on platform stability, observability, automation, and operational excellence across enterprise Azure infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in Azure cloud platforms, Kubernetes, automation, and Site Reliability Engineering practices, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Role Details

Location: Chandler, AZ / Dallas, TX / Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) Duration: Contract: 12 Months (Potential Extension)

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise-scale Azure platforms, including:
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Azure App Service Environment (ASE)
• Drive improvements in:
  • Observability and monitoring
  • Alerting and platform stability
  • Automation and self-service capabilities
  • Toil reduction and operational efficiency
• Perform operational engineering tasks related to:
  • Incident management
  • Change management
  • Capacity planning
  • Platform maintenance and documentation
• Identify operational gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and leadership teams

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience with public cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• 5+ years supporting Linux environments
• 4+ years working with:
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Azure App Service Environment (ASE)
  • Azure Landing Zones
  • Terraform
  • GitHub
  • Python
• 2+ years of experience with:
  • LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Conversational AI
  • Agentic AI and MCP concepts
  • Grafana, KQL, and JQL
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting shared hosting environments
• Experience with OpenShift Platform
• 3+ years in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Strong experience with:
  • Incident & Change Management
  • ServiceNow
  • Jira
