Azure Data Engineer

About

You will develop and support data applications within the Azure ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support new or existing data applications and integration processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts and architects to design low-level implementation details and data flows.
• Provide technical guidance for complex data solutions, including code reviews and test deployment.
• Maintain detailed documentation for downstream integrations and production support.
• Perform Scrum Master activities and explore new technology trends for organizational use.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, or Data Engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience working within the Azure ecosystem.
• Experience with Informatica Powercenter, IICS, Cognos, or Netezza Performance Servers.
• Experience with Python or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with one or more analytical platforms: PowerBI, AzureML, Databricks, or Synapse.
• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• P&C Insurance industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
