Azure DevOps Business Analyst

About

You will act as a functional liaison between business units and technical teams to support environment, social, and financial management business lines.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and translate them into user stories and Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Agile Project Managers to refine backlogs and project scope.
• Design functional workflows for transactional and compliance-driven systems, focusing on data entry forms and dashboard reporting.
• Navigate large, bureaucratic organizational structures to align requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Adapt documentation and processes to meet frequently changing internal policies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or functional roles.
• Proven experience writing user stories and BRDs from scratch.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps for requirements management.
• Background working on transactional systems or compliance-driven data environments.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Experience handling large-scale data projects and form usability design.
• Ability to work onsite in Washington D.C. three days per week.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to VersionOne or Digital.ai.
• Experience with Jira or TFS.
