Azure Platform Engineer / Azure DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Azure cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Kubernetes (AKS). The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure while driving automation and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure-based cloud infrastructure ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, Ansible).
• Deploy and support cloud-native applications in Azure environments.
• Administer and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters including configuration, scaling, and optimization.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and overall platform health.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and network connectivity issues in collaboration with networking teams.
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance standards across the cloud environment.
• Maintain and enhance existing IaC solutions and automation pipelines.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, DevOps, and security.

Mandatory Skills

• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) – expert-level (design, deployment, stakeholder interaction, and operations)
• Azure PaaS Services
• Azure Storage Services

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–10 years of overall IT experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud/platform engineering
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, Ansible)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash
• Experience with Azure services including:
  • AKS, App Services, Azure Functions
  • Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
  • Azure Cache
  • Storage Accounts, Key Vaults
  • Application Gateway, Service Bus, Log Analytics
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience managing secure, scalable, and compliant Azure environments
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu/RHEL) and Azure services
• Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Certifications such as Azure Administrator / Azure DevOps Engineer / Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
