Backend Engineer (2-5 Years Experience)

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll design and scale the core infrastructure powering AI-driven content generation workflows used by 30,000+ teams.

You’ll work on high-performance APIs, distributed systems, and data pipelines that process video, transcription, and AI inference workloads at scale.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building robust backend systems, solving scalability challenges, and working in high-growth startup environments.

What You’ll Do

⚙️ Backend System Development

Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Go and Python

Build reliable backend systems powering content generation pipelines

Own features end-to-end from design to deployment

Data & Compute Architecture

Architect and optimize data pipelines for video processing and transcription

Build scalable compute workflows for AI inference

Ensure systems handle high throughput with low latency

Platform Integrations

Develop and maintain integrations with Confluence, Notion, and Google Docs

Design clean APIs for seamless third-party connectivity

Reliability & Performance

Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of systems serving 30,000+ teams

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production-grade reliability

Debug production issues and continuously improve system robustness

☁️ Cloud & Infrastructure

Deploy and manage services on AWS, GCP, or Azure

Work with containerized deployments and distributed systems

Contribute to architectural decisions for scaling backend infrastructure

✅ You’re a Great Fit If You

Have 2+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems

Are highly proficient in Go or Python

Have hands-on experience with MongoDB and strong database design principles

Have experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Understand distributed systems fundamentals

Have prior startup experience (preferred)

Have exposure to AI-driven automation workflows (a plus)
