Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Advanced level) to support small to large-scale IT and business transformation projects. The role involves analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, and bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and processes (as-is / to-be)
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications
  • Support business process redesign and improvement initiatives
  • Conduct requirements elicitation, validation, and documentation
  • Maintain requirements traceability, version control, and change management
  • Analyze data requirements and relationships
  • Provide guidance to development and QA teams on requirements
  • Identify risks, issues, and solutions proactively
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams
  • Support buy vs. build analysis and strategic decision-making
  • Maintain documentation repositories for business rules, models, and processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Healthcare, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst on government IT projects
  • 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering and business process documentation
  • Minimum 3 years of Medicaid or healthcare experience
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and documentation practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Medicaid or healthcare insurance programs
  • Familiarity with:
    • Microsoft Project / Project Server
    • Microsoft DevOps (Azure DevOps)
    • Knowledge of business modeling tools and process flow diagrams
