About the role
Role & responsibilities
- Preparation of civil & structural design drawings for substation projects (Indoor/Outdoor GIS/AIS).
- Design of:
- Substation control buildings
- Transformer foundations
- Cable trenches
- Equipment foundations
- Boundary walls & roads
- Oil containment pits
- Structural design and analysis as per DEWA standards.
- Preparation of design calculations, BOQ, and technical specifications.
- Coordination with electrical, MEP, and project teams.
- Ensuring compliance with DEWA regulations, local authority approvals, and international codes (BS, ACI, Eurocodes).
- Review and approval of shop drawings.
- Site coordination and resolving technical issues.
- Preparation of design reports and submission documents for DEWA approval.
