We are the Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine at the University Medical Center of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

Responsibilities

• Analyse und Auswertung klinischer Labordaten
• Unterstützung der klinischen Diagnostik durch datenbasierte Methoden
• Mitwirkung im Qualitätsmanagement sowie Durchführung von Prozessanalysen im Laborbetrieb
• Entwicklung und Implementierung von Methoden zur Auswertung klinischer NGS-Daten
• Datenintegration sowie strukturiertes Datenmanagement
• Visualisierung und Kommunikation klinischer Daten
• Surveillance und Monitoring infektiologischer Parameter
• Entwicklung und Anwendung digitaler sowie KI-gestützter Lösungen im Labor

Requirements

• Completed Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable degree with a focus on biological systems or a specialization in the biological field
• Completed PhD desirable
• Previous experience in processing and evaluating NGS data at the genomic and RNA level
• Knowledge of variant evaluation through the integration of bioinformatics tools
• Programming experience in R and Python
• Experience with clinical database systems, laboratory information systems (LIS), and hospital information systems (KIS)
