Join CGS as a Cloud and Storage Solutions Engineer and play a crucial role in developing and implementing a robust Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure in support of a significant federal agency. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture tailored for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure, with a focus on multi-enterprise, complex solutions that connect single servers to extensive multi-tier, multi-platform architectures via fiber channel to multiple EMC Storage Arrays with petabytes of storage capacity.
• Ensure SAN architecture addresses performance, capacity, replication strategies, disaster recovery, and backup solutions.
• Define and establish strategic direction for the SAN and backup environment, optimizing efficiency and reliability.
• Translate customer storage needs into a thorough enterprise solution that will be developed, installed, configured, and deployed in the environment.
• Oversee storage and backup capacity planning and generate utilization reports.
• Create standards and procedures for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, security, and disaster recovery.
• Diagnose and resolve complex SAN infrastructure issues in collaboration with internal and external customers.
• Review and participate in regular maintenance and project execution for the storage infrastructure.
• Generate technical documentation, develop tiered storage and storage-as-a-service roadmaps, presentations, and cost modeling.
• Ensure the SAN infrastructure is managed, maintained, and developed effectively as part of a team to guarantee 24/7/365 uptime.
• Design and sustain a private cloud environment, with preferred experience in Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Conduct security-related tasks, including documentation, vulnerability scans, assessments, patch management, and necessary audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with Dell EMC products, including OneFS, MDS SAN switches, various storage arrays (Unity, Isilon, VNX, Data Domain), and RecoverPoint.
