Cloud Data Engineer

Job Duties

• Model and secure data in AWS and Databricks, ensuring compliance with IRS cybersecurity policies and UNAX requirements.
• Provide 24x7 operational support, including incident management and maintenance for both new and existing data pipelines.
• Collaborate with IRS teams to gather requirements, plan onboarding, and deliver detailed documentation, project schedules, and status reports.
• Enable advanced analytics and BI by building data products and supporting tools like Tableau, Business Objects, and Power BI.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load IRS data using tools like Databricks, AWS RDS/Postgres, DynamoDB, and Informatica.

Education, Experience and Skills

• 8 Years of experience and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• knowledge of cloud platforms, data structures and algorithms, data warehousing, data lake/lakehouse, big data processing, data security, data models for SQL and NoSQL databases, design cloud data solutions (including but not limited to Databricks, RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Python/Spark/SQL, ETL/ELT, data analysis, IAM, Secrets Manager)
