If you’ve built and operated data platforms on Google Cloud at scale, this is worth a look.

We’re hiring a Cloud Data Engineer into a live enterprise GCP environment, working on production systems already serving real users and data workloads.

This is not support. This is not a POC. This is hands-on engineering on systems that are already in motion.

You’ll be working across data pipelines, large-scale processing and platform optimisation within a modern GCP stack.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building production-grade data pipelines (batch and streaming)
• Developing and optimising data lakes and warehouses on GCP
• Leading data migration and transformation work in live environments
• Improving performance, cost and reliability of existing data platforms
• Working directly with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions
• Building CI/CD and automated data infrastructure
• Operating on live systems with real scale and impact

What we’re looking for

• Proven delivery of data platforms in production environments
• Strong hands-on GCP experience across the full data lifecycle
• Deep expertise with BigQuery
• Experience building scalable pipelines (batch and streaming)
• Strong engineering mindset, comfortable owning delivery end-to-end
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification is mandatory

Nice to have

• Experience with Ab Initio
• Strong SQL optimisation for cost and performance
• Experience in client-facing or consulting environments

Languages

• English required
• German preferred

The engagement

• Start: Immediate
• Duration: 3 months, likely extension
• Location: Europe, with travel to Germany (Munich or Frankfurt) 1–2x per month
