Cloud Engineer 3 (CloudOps)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer 3 to support and operate an enterprise AWS cloud environment. This is a hands?on CloudOps role focused on stability, monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure. The engineer will work independently on complex systems and partner closely with internal teams to ensure reliable, scalable cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain cloud systems, operational processes, and standards
• Monitor, manage, and improve AWS cloud resources and services
• Implement proactive configuration changes to reduce operational risk and disruptions
• Work with AWS support to analyze issues and implement best?practice solutions
• Design and implement automated solutions to support operations and development teams
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Support cloud services used across multiple applications and systems
• Maintain high standards of cloud operational quality and best practices
• Identify opportunities for improvement and encourage team growth
• Communicate with internal teams to support development, debugging, and testing efforts
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Cloud Operations experience
• 5+ years of AWS (or Azure) experience, with strong AWS focus
• Hands?on experience with AWS operations tools such as CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, Health, Athena, and AWS Support
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation or Azure ARM templates
• Experience working with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications related to Cloud Administration, DevOps, or Architecture
• Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
• Experience implementing and managing IAM roles and policies using least?privilege principles
• Prior operational experience with additional cloud platforms, preferably Azure

Team & Work Environment

• Team of approximately 12, including multiple cloud engineers
• Collaborative, operations?focused environment
• Fully onsite, 5 days per week
