About the Team

The Internal IT team is responsible for central infrastructure components for the entire DATEV. This includes, among others, the Access Platform including Identity Management, central cloud access via Landing Zones, and the Zero Trust Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Secure Web Gateway (SWG): You are responsible for the configuration and ongoing tuning of the Palo Alto Secure Web Gateway to ensure secure and performant internet access for our IT workstations.
• Threat Prevention: You ensure that threats such as malware, exploits, or phishing in internet traffic are reliably detected and blocked and optimize the corresponding security policies.
• Data Protection: You are responsible for protecting sensitive data through data loss prevention mechanisms and through content and file controls to prevent unwanted data leakage.
• Application Control: You ensure the secure use of applications by defining, maintaining, and continuously adapting application control rules to current security requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• You have a successfully completed degree in computer science or a comparable field of study or training with many years of professional experience.
• You have sound knowledge of malware techniques and common attack patterns in the internet environment.
• You have very good knowledge of handling SSL/TLS protocols.
• You have a deep understanding of PKI, certificates, and CA trust chains, as well as identity and access integration.
• You possess analytical skills in the network environment (e.g., Wireshark basics).
• Ideally, you have already gained experience in SACM and Change Management processes as well as in operating the Palo Alto Platform.

Learnable Skills:

• You will learn to use and operate the Palo Alto Platform.
• You will acquire knowledge in the design of access policies at the application layer.
• You will gain knowledge in security incidenting and acquire the ability to distinguish false positives from real security incidents.
