Cloud Engineer (Linux & VMware / Proxmox)

Introduction

Looking for a technically strong, motivated individual who wants to build a career in cloud and infrastructure engineering. • The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong technical foundation who wants to grow into a Cloud Engineer.

You don’t need the title “Cloud Engineer” yet — however; • you MUST have the foundation and mindset. • Strong Linux skills (non-negotiable) • Exposure to virtualization (VMware / Proxmox advantageous) • Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, routing) • Some Windows Server exposure • A problem solver who can think and troubleshoot • Someone who is hungry to learn and grow

Ability to work within in a team and have the ability to communicate to senior management and team members.

Duties & Responsibilities • The role includes maintaining virtual machines, assisting with deployments and upgrades, monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and working with senior engineers to resolve incidents and improve overall system performance. • Supporting cloud & virtual environments • Working with Linux systems (command line) • Assisting with deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting • Monitoring systems and resolving issues • Learning directly from experienced engineers

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Skills & Experience: • Must have strong Linux skills and be comfortable working in the command line, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic administration tasks. • Experience with hypervisors such as VMware or Proxmox is recommended, along with basic Windows Server administration and support. • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as IP, DNS, and Routing is important. • Exposure to scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or similar) will be beneficial. • The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, eager to learn, takes ownership of tasks, communicates well, and can work effectively under pressure.
