Purpose

At DASI, the Cloud Engineering Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of an organization’s systems and services. They lead teams, drive strategy, and ensure alignment with organizational goals while fostering collaboration between DevOps teams and champion best practices in cloud security, compliance, and operational excellence to support DASI’s digital transformation and growth in the online marketplace. Additionally, they focus on managing the hands-on work of building, automating, and troubleshooting systems.

Key accountabilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse Reliability Engineering team which includes admins, architects, and engineers.
• Manage a cloud strategy aligned with business objectives
• Implement and oversee a cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and optimization
• Manage budgets and optimize resource utilization
• Drive adoption of cloud best practices and security standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements
• Establish SLI’s, SLO’s, and SLA’s metrics for cloud operations
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
• Lead technical decision-making for cloud platforms and tools
• Support mission-critical systems for global customers
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Salesforce)
• Proven track record of successfully managing a team
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Containerization and Monitoring
• Exposure to compliance or regulatory frameworks is a plus, but not required.
• Aerospace background or experience is a plus, but not required.
