Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in deploying, provisioning, hardening, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and services. You will engage in scripting and utilize cutting-edge technologies for environment orchestration, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional cloud solutions for both our clients and internal stakeholders. • Design, build, and deploy innovative cloud-based computing services at scale, ensuring timely and effective provisioning of new hosts for our clients.

• Create detailed specifications for network, storage, and compute designs, ensuring stable and secure operations in a vibrant cloud environment.

• Manage cloud services including Identity and Access Management, Security Groups, and native services from cloud service providers.

• Employ software engineering methodologies such as Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration and delivery, and architecture reviews to efficiently manage cloud infrastructure.

• Craft scripts and templates essential for provisioning and configuring cloud resources.

• Work closely with internal and external teams to translate technical objectives into clear and actionable requirements.

• Review operational requirements with project teams and management to facilitate seamless deployment and ongoing support.

• Document best practices related to server infrastructure and provide operational guidance in cloud computing.

• Act as a liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure their cloud service needs are effectively addressed.

• Contribute to the identification and planning of potential new cloud services and enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• Cloud certification at Associate level from a major provider such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud.

• Professional level certification is a plus.

• 8-15 years of IT experience, including:

• 3-4 years of cloud engineering experience with one or more vendor platforms.

• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems in an administrative, support, or engineering role.

Additional Skills • In-depth knowledge of Identity Access Management and Shared Security responsibilities.

• Strong understanding of backup and storage principles in cloud environments.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise server, backup, and storage solutions in cloud settings.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional troubleshooting skills in the areas of storage, backups, server OS, and networks.

• Thorough understanding of cloud service providers.

• Robust command line scripting skills for cloud management.

• Excellent documentation skills, including the creation and updating of detailed design documents.

• Outstanding communication, project management, and collaborative abilities.

• Familiarity with information lifecycle management concepts and best practices.

Compensation Ranges Compensation for this role is determined by various factors including location, skill set, education, certifications, and experience. The range for this position is $94,100 - $155,300.
