Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer: SRE|DevSecOps|DevOps|Site Operations|Cloud Engineer
DataDock LLC
About the role
About the Role
We are looking for a versatile Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer who can operate across the full spectrum of modern infrastructure disciplines — from reliability engineering and security automation to cloud operations and CI/CD delivery. You will work across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI), help maintain production uptime, and drive platform maturity through automation, observability, and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and/or OCI
- Operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, OKE) across multiple regions
- Manage networking, load balancing, DNS, storage, and compute across cloud providers
- Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, or Bicep/ARM
DevOps & CI/CD
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Implement GitOps workflows with FluxCD or ArgoCD and manage Helm chart releases
- Manage container registries (ECR, ACR, OCIR, Harbor) and image lifecycle
- Automate deployments, scaling, and configuration across environments
Security & Compliance (DevSecOps)
- Integrate security tooling into CI/CD: SAST, DAST, container scanning, and dependency audits
- Manage secrets using AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, OCI Vault, or HashiCorp Vault
- Enforce policy-as-code using OPA, Kyverno, or Azure Policy
- Implement RBAC, IAM roles, IRSA, Workload Identity, and least-privilege access controls
- Support compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) through automated controls
Reliability & Site Operations (SRE)
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets; participate in on-call rotations
- Respond to and resolve production incidents; write detailed post-mortems
- Maintain observability stacks: Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, or Azure Monitor
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization across cloud providers
Required Qualification
- 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering, or a related platform role
- Hands-on production Kubernetes experience (CKA or equivalent strongly preferred)
- Proficiency with at least two of: AWS, Azure, OCI — including compute, networking, IAM, and storage
- Strong IaC experience with Terraform or equivalent tooling
- Experience with GitOps tools (FluxCD, ArgoCD) and Helm-based deployments
- Solid scripting skills in Bash and Python; Go is a plus
- Familiarity with container security, secrets management, and supply chain controls
- Experience operating observability platforms and responding to production alerts
Nice to Have
- Cloud certifications: AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Pro, Azure Administrator / DevOps Expert, OCI Architect
- Experience with service mesh (Linkerd, Istio) and advanced networking
- Knowledge of Kafka, MSK, or Event Hub for streaming infrastructure
- Familiarity with Keycloak, Active Directory/LDAP, or enterprise SSO integrations
- Background in payment processing, fintech, or subscription platforms
- Experience with custom Kubernetes operators or admission controllers
Soft Skills & Culture Fit
- Clear communicator — can translate complex infrastructure concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset — works effectively across distributed, cross-functional teams
- Incident composure — stays calm and methodical under production pressure
- Documentation discipline — writes runbooks, post-mortems, and architecture decision records
- Continuous learner — proactively keeps up with cloud-native trends and emerging tooling
- Ownership mentality — sees issues through to resolution rather than passing the buck
- Constructive challenger — raises concerns early and proposes solutions, not just problems
Core Tech Stack Skills

Orchestration
- Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, OKE), Helm, Kustomize
