Enterprise Cloud Systems Engineer

Position Overview

Cyderes (Cyber Defense and Response) is a global, full life-cycle cybersecurity services provider leveraging decades of experience and a worldwide presence to accelerate clients' cyber outcomes. The Enterprise Cloud Systems Engineer role involves designing, implementing, documenting, and managing cloud-based solutions, integrating applications, and ensuring security and compliance. The ideal candidate must be an OKTA specialist and a self-starter eager to challenge the status quo to drive operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on developing and implementing policies for cloud services, including documentation and training.
• Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Establish and maintain a secure cloud environment.
• Configure cloud infrastructure components such as networking and security services.
• Take technical ownership of enterprise cloud computing, including cloud-based applications (Azure, Atlassian, Google Workspace, Microsoft O365, Okta, Aquera) and limited on-premises systems.
• Monitor service availability and report key performance metrics.
• Collaborate closely with internal security to ensure compliance with security objectives.
• Troubleshoot cloud-based and IT-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Mentor and coach team members as a subject matter expert.
• Work with business partners, third-party vendors, and IT personnel on company-wide initiatives.
• Provide Tier 2 helpdesk support as needed, proactively addressing tickets.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of security technologies and architecture including encryption, cloud network security, security group configuration, intrusion detection, data loss prevention, and application security.
• Experience with cloud computing and digital transformation on at least two portals (GCP, Azure, AWS, and OKTA as a bonus).
• Deep technical knowledge of the leading SaaS applications.
• A passion for automation and workflow development.
• Advanced networking knowledge paired with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
