Position Summary
ITC Federal is seeking a highly versatile Cloud & Infrastructure Architect to provide technical leadership and broad subject matter expertise for DOJ EOIR. This role is ideal for a multi-domain architect who can design, guide, and support solutions across Azure cloud, on‑premises systems, Active Directory, networking, and overall enterprise infrastructure.
The Architect will define hybrid strategies, lead complex implementations, mentor technical staff, and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of mission-critical environments. This is a hands‑on, architecture‑driven role suited for a seasoned professional skilled in navigating diverse technologies and competing priorities.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical architect across Azure cloud, on‑prem infrastructure, virtualization, Active Directory, and enterprise services.
- Architect, design, and oversee implementation of hybrid cloud/on‑prem environments supporting multi-site operations.
- Lead the architecture and governance of Active Directory Domain Services including GPO design, DNS/DHCP, ADFS, PKI, and directory integrity.
- Define HA/DR architecture and strategies, including Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and on‑prem failover solutions.
- Provide oversight for the design and lifecycle management of Windows Server platforms across Azure, VMware, Nutanix, and physical systems.
- Drive automation and modernization efforts using PowerShell, Azure Runbooks, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
- Guide the use of CI/CD pipelines and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) where aligned with mission needs.
- Establish monitoring, observability, and performance optimization architectures leveraging Azure Monitor, Grafana, and similar tools.
- Ensure secure-by-design architecture aligned with DISA STIGs, Azure security recommendations, and EOIR security requirements.
- Translate business and mission requirements into well-architected, scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, roadmaps, and executive-level briefings.
- Mentor engineering teams, promote best practices, and provide architectural oversight for ongoing operations.
- Manage multiple, interdependent technical efforts with strong prioritization and leadership.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a DOJ Public Trust clearance (must be obtained prior to start date).
- 12–15+ years in systems engineering, cloud architecture, or enterprise infrastructure roles.
- Demonstrated experience architecting solutions across Azure cloud, on‑prem environments, and hybrid models.
- Expertise in Windows Server, ADDS, virtualization technologies, and core infrastructure services.
- Experience with Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and Certificate Authority management.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles, networking, storage, identity, and security.
- Experience implementing automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code using PowerShell, ARM templates, and Terraform.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience briefing executive stakeholders.
- Ability to assess business challenges and propose cloud-based solutions that drive efficiency and performance improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate and/or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Automation and scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements in complex cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience).
