REPORTING TO THE OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the identification, development, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, with the objective of enhancing operational efficiency,reducing waste, and improving production output. The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving data-informed decision-making, fostering a culture of operational excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed sustainable improvement practices that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
JOB FUNCTION:
Project Management:
Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to ensure timely delivery, effective resource utilisation, and measurable business benefits. Ensure compliance with quality standards, maintain accurate documentation, and provide clear stakeholder communication while proactively addressing project deviations.
Works Procedure:
Implement lean manufacturing practices to optimise production processes and improve operational efficiency. Develop and maintain accurate process documentation while designing effective layouts and workflow systems to maximise productivity and resource utilisation.
Process Improvement:
Drive manufacturing efficiency improvements (OEE, scrap, waste, delivery performance) through data-driven continuous improvement methodologies. Conduct root cause analyses, standardise production rates, and collaborate cross - functionally to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance process capability.
Technology Development and Transfer:
Identify operational challenges requiring analytical solutions and support technology-driven improvements. Build continuous improvement capability within teams through structured training, mentorship, and knowledge transfer.
Planning Process and Systems Improvement:
Analyse and enhance planning systems and processes to improve workflow, material availability, and scheduling accuracy. Implement system improvements, track KPI performance, and ensure sustainable adoption of process changes across teams.
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:
B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience within manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, able to translate complex technical data into practical, value-adding solutions.
Proficient in production systems including CAD, MS Projects, Excel, and ERP environments, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and sustainable process optimisation.
