Join a large and dynamic distribution company with a strong presence in the industry as a Corporate Staff Accountant. We are looking for an experienced individual who will play a pivotal role within our Corporate Accounting team. As a key player, you will be responsible for a range of vital accounting functions, helping to ensure the integrity of our financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the monthly close and reporting process in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy.
• Conduct thorough accounting research to ensure proper classification and recording of various transactions.
• Monitor and analyze monthly budgets against actual performance, investigating discrepancies.
• Monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and automate our accounting processes.
• Conduct detailed analysis of accounts to spot trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
• Assist in facilitating annual audits by providing the necessary documentation and support.
• Participate in special projects that enhance our accounting capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel is essential.
• A self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
