Role

Are you enthusiastic about modern IT infrastructures and want to actively contribute to stable and reliable systems? In this role as a Cyber Security Engineer, you will take responsibility for a highly available, secure, and high-performance IT environment. You will analyze security requirements, assess risks, and implement targeted measures to protect systems sustainably. Furthermore, you will contribute your expertise to the technological further development of platform services and the continuous improvement of security standards. With your commitment, you will create the foundation for critical infrastructures to remain protected and operational at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring and further developing the security architecture for enterprise infrastructures, platform services, and virtualization environments
• Identifying, assessing, and minimizing cyber risks in server, database, and platform landscapes
• Developing and implementing technical protection measures for hybrid Microsoft, Linux, and cloud environments
• Creating and maintaining security policies, architectural guidelines, and infrastructure security concepts
• Providing technical consulting to internal teams on information security, hardening, compliance, and risk management topics

Qualifications

• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or comparable education with relevant security certifications
• Several years of experience in enterprise infrastructures or technical security roles with a focus on platform protection
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Kubernetes, or Citrix environments and their security
• Experience with offensive security methods such as pentesting, security audits, or threat simulations
• Very good German and English language skills, as well as an analytical and agile working style
