Synoptek is seeking a D365 Solution Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service to lead the design and delivery of scalable, end-to-end service management solutions. This role is responsible for defining architecture, guiding development teams, and ensuring successful implementation across medium to large-scale engagements. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into optimized technical solutions while driving delivery excellence across the full project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architecture for D365 Field Service implementations aligned to business requirements
- Lead design and configuration of Field Service capabilities including work order management, scheduling, mobile enablement, and connected services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and conduct solution design workshops
- Provide technical leadership to onshore and offshore teams and ensure adherence to architecture standards
- Drive integration design across D365 CE, ERP platforms, and third-party systems
- Oversee application lifecycle management, including environment strategy, release planning, and deployment governance
- Ensure solution scalability, performance, and security across high-volume environments
- Support data migration, cutover planning, and go-live activities
- Contribute to pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations and proposal development
- Mentor and guide junior consultants and architects to build capability within the team
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Job-related Experience
- Customarily has at least 10+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE implementations
- Minimum 5+ years of focused experience in D365 Field Service on medium-to-large-scale engagements
- Proven experience delivering large-scale Field Service solutions (e.g., high-volume work orders or large field workforce environments)
- Experience integrating D365 Field Service with ERP platforms such as D365 Finance & Operations or other enterprise systems
- Demonstrated experience leading distributed delivery teams across onshore and offshore models
- Experience in industries such as utilities, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, or facilities management preferred
- Pre-sales experience including solution demos and proposal development preferred

- Strong expertise in D365 Field Service including work orders, agreements, scheduling, and mobile solutions
- Hands-on experience with Resource Scheduling Optimization (RSO) in complex environments
- Working knowledge of D365 CE modules including Sales, Customer Service, and Omnichannel
- Strong understanding of Dataverse architecture and data modeling best practices
- Experience with Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Knowledge of Azure Integration Services such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Service Bus
- Familiarity with Azure IoT Hub and connected field service scenarios
- Experience with data migration tools such as SSIS and KingswaySoft
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps and release management
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Salary Range
The following information is required by the Maryland Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of Maryland. The anticipated starting pay range for Annapolis, Maryland applicants for this role is $145,000-$185,000. Compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for that role.
