Job Responsibility

A career in Information Technology, within Business Enablement, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. You'll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth. Our Chief Data and Analytics Office provides PwC a series of organisational technology capabilities that include business intelligence, data management, data warehouse, and data assurance. You'll help with projects that involve information technology strategy and infrastructure, enterprise architecture, enterprise applications, large scale programme and portfolio management, information technology security, data analytics, computer forensics, and emerging technologies like cloud, mobility and social networking.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Data Architecture and Engineering Leader, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure alignment with the firm's data strategy and stakeholder requirements
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Architecture & Engineering team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of clean data pipelines, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow across the organization
  • Implement data management policies and procedures in line with Data Governance guidelines, promoting a data-driven culture
  • Monitor data quality, proactively identifying and addressing data-related challenges and opportunities to maintain data accuracy and integrity
  • Design and manage enterprise data architecture, integrating data from various systems to create a unified data ecosystem
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data integration strategies, enhancing system-wide data accessibility and reliability
  • Establish structures and processes to enable data customers to access reliable data with ease, fostering data-driven decision-making
  • Communicate data-related updates and insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • Professional certification(s) not required but considered an advantage: Certified Data Management Professional, Project Management Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer, SAP Certified Application Associate - Modeling and Data Management with SAP BW
  • The ability to identify data-related issues and develop effective solutions, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the organization
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics for designing and implementing data pipelines and storage solutions
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Catalog, Azure Data Share, and Azure Purview for data organization, sharing, and governance
  • Experience with Azure Machine Learning and Azure Databricks for advanced analytics and data processing
  • Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, Azure Cosmos DB, and other Azure-based data storage services for effective data management
  • Expertise in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) for data warehousing, including data modeling, extraction, and reporting
  • Proficiency in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for building and extending applications, integrating data, and managing analytics services
  • Familiarity with SAP DataSphere for creating and managing data lake houses, orchestrating data pipelines, and enabling real-time data processing
  • Experience with SAP Data Intelligence for machine learning, data processing, and data governance
  • Knowledge of SAP HANA as a data platform, including its capabilities for real-time analytics and advanced data processing
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, as well as the ability to influence and motivate team members to achieve organizational goals.
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
