Role

We are looking for a Senior Big Data Engineer Databricks who will be in charge of data integration: acquisition, preparation, modeling and storage, exposure. You will need to demonstrate an innovative, methodical, solution-oriented (not problem!) and communicative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage Big Data Engineers and Cloud Engineers
• Technically coach team members: solution and code review on-site, recommendations on training to follow, certifications to obtain, ...
• Analyze business technical needs, define solution and software architecture, technical reference, development and optimization, code review, maintain DevOps practices You build IT, You run IT, support for acceptance and production deployment, documentation, and sometimes assume the role of Scrum Master,...
• Benchmark solutions and advise our client on technological solutions to adopt, in line with their needs
• Share knowledge and internal training

Recruitment Process

• 1 operational interview with the domain manager, at the headquarters (1 hour)

Candidate Profile

• Higher education (engineering school, master's degree, ...)
• At least 4 years of experience in Big Data (particularly on the Spark framework)
• At least 6 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in software development (Scala, Python ...)
• Solid experience in setting up data pipelines
• Proficiency in the Spark Framework (ideally on Databricks) and its optimization
• Experience on a Cloud platform would be a plus and ideally AWS
• Experience with real-time flows would be a plus: Kafka + Spark Streaming
• Proficiency in SQL databases and the SQL language
• Experience with storage methods: HDFS, S3, ...
• Good knowledge of DevOps: Jenkins, Gitlab, Maven, ...
• Knowledge of the following concepts would be a plus: DataOps, DataVault, DataMesh..
