This fast-growing European industrial group is accelerating the structuring and reliability of its data to support its digital transformation challenges. Present in several countries (France, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands), it is modernizing its information systems and implementing a group data architecture to better manage its activities and harmonize its processes. In this context, the company is creating a key Data Engineer position, with a central role: to design, structure, and evolve the entire data foundation, in conjunction with business and IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust and maintainable data pipelines (ETL / ELT)
- Structure and evolve a modern data architecture (medallion type, data warehouse / data platform)
- Ensure the integration of data from various systems (ERP, business applications, external tools)
- Develop and expose APIs to facilitate system interoperability
- Implement data flow orchestration mechanisms (e.g., Airflow, DBT or equivalent)
- Guarantee data quality, consistency, and governance (MDM, business rules)
- Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and formalize data uses
- Participate in the implementation of best practices (documentation, monitoring, performance)
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Educated in computer science or data (Bac+5 or equivalent)
- Significant experience in data engineering, with a demonstrated ability to build data solutions autonomously.
Languages & data: Advanced SQL, Python
Data engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, data warehouse
Orchestration & transformation: DBT, Airflow or equivalent tools
Integration & interoperability: APIs, EAI / integration tools (n8n, Talend, Informatica.)
Environments: Ideally Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, SQL Server)
- Knowledge of MDM, governance, and data quality concepts
- Experience with other stacks or equivalent tools is of course valued
