Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

A fast-growing fintech company is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data infrastructure that powers critical business decisions and financial products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data pipelines, big data systems, and cloud technologies, with the ability to handle large-scale, high-volume data in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Develop and optimize data architectures for high-performance analytics
• Manage large datasets and ensure data quality, integrity, and availability
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams
• Implement data warehousing solutions and optimize query performance
• Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues and system bottlenecks
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks
• Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
• Solid understanding of data modeling and database design
• Experience in fintech or financial systems is an advantage
