What to Expect

  • You are an essential part of the transformation process towards a future-proof data architecture.
  • You are part of building the new architecture based on modern modeling standards, such as Data Vault or principles like Data Lakehouse.
  • You develop and implement the Extract and Load steps in the ELT process.
  • You build out our BI infrastructure - including BI cloud setup - using Infrastructure-as-Code and containerization frameworks.
  • You ensure the availability of data required for various analytics requirements and use cases.
  • You analyze the causes of errors and fix them reliably.
  • You act as a sparring partner for our Data Architect in building the architecture.
  • You develop and maintain the analytics and transformation layer in the Data Warehouse/Lakehouse (e.g., Data Marts, Semantic Layer, Reports Layer) and ensure usable, technically understandable data models.

What You Bring

  • You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification, as well as at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • You have very good knowledge of Python and SQL and use both confidently for data processing and automation.
  • You have experience in developing ELT/ETL processes and are familiar with modern data pipelines in practice.
  • You have knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS or GCP and experience with databases - ideally Google BigQuery.
  • You are familiar with the Data Warehouse modeling context and ideally with Data Vault 2.0.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, in the DevOps area, with interfaces, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Apache Airflow are advantageous.
