Data Engineer (m/w/d) - Datenbankentwicklung/BI, Ingenieur

Your Role

Your central role is the development and implementation of strategic digitalization projects to gain sustainable competitive advantages through the use of AI in the entire insurance value chain.

• Preparation and consolidation of large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from diverse data sources to make them usable for (Gen)AI solutions.
• Participation in the go-live and operation of Machine Learning and (Gen)AI solutions (MLOps) with a focus on use cases based on structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data – including the integration of (Gen)AI applications and processes.
• Conception, implementation, and operation of scalable data management and (Gen)AI solutions for the use of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data based on cloud environments.
• Support and consulting of operational units on the use of work results, especially in the initial and further development of Machine Learning and (Gen)AI applications to realize the estimated added value and generate competitive advantages.

Your Profile

• Completed university degree in natural sciences, (applied) mathematics, computer science, business informatics, or a related field.
• Sound knowledge and experience in data modeling and data visualization with a strong focus on scalable data management concepts – including experience with standardized ETL pipelines and data pipelines – including practical experience in putting these into production and MLOps.
• Sound knowledge in one or more programming, scripting, and database languages (e.g., Python, Spark, SQL) and experience with version control systems (GitHub) – including experience in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Willingness to innovate and proactive working style, combined with the ability for networked thinking and action to lay the foundation for the development and go-live of (Gen)AI and LLM technologies.
