Data Engineer Senior

About

French multi-site group specialized in the design and management of complex projects with a strong business component. The company has been engaged for about two years in a structuring digital and data transformation, with challenges of centralization, exploitation, and valorization of business data at the group level.

Mission Context

As part of structuring its group data platform, the company is looking for a senior profile to intervene on a first business scope to validate a technical and operational approach before a wider deployment.

The mission mainly involves:

• Creation and industrialization of data pipelines
• Integration and structuring of business data
• Implementation of flows around Microsoft Fabric
• Support of internal teams on data engineering and BI topics

The objective is to start with a targeted intervention of a few months to evaluate business adoption, value created, and extension prospects at the group level.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and develop data pipelines under Microsoft Fabric
• Structure the integration of data from different business sources
• Participate in data flow quality and industrialization
• Collaborate with internal BI teams on modeling and reporting
• Participate in business workshops and exchanges with transformation teams
• Support the organization's data maturity development
• Contribute occasionally to AI / Machine Learning POCs or Python automations integrated into business workflows

Mission Organization

• Mission mainly based in Paris or Nantes
• 2 days telework possible with occasional agency presence for business workshops or strategic meetings
• Multi-site environment (Paris, Nantes, Lyon, Bordeaux) - rare travel
• Quick start desired
• First mission phase estimated at 3 months with possible extension depending on business feedback and group needs evolution

Profile Required

Mandatory Skills

• Solid experience in Data Engineering
• Mandatory mastery of Microsoft Fabric
• Experience in creating pipelines and data integration
• Ability to work in a structuring environment
• Good autonomy and ability to communicate with business interlocutors

Recommended Skills

• BI / Power BI expertise
• Knowledge of Python, AI or Machine Learning
• Experience in group data transformation topics
