Data Engineer – Snowflake
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL solutions using Snowflake as the core data warehouse.
- Build and optimize large-scale data processing workflows using Scala, Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Hive.
- Implement Snowflake features such as Warehouses, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel, and Cloning for efficient data ingestion and processing.
- Develop and maintain high‑performance data models and schemas to support analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption.
- Optimize query performance, cost, and storage in Snowflake through clustering, partitioning, and workload management best practices.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to deliver clean, reliable, and analytics‑ready datasets.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across the data platform.
- Automate data workflows and operational tasks using Shell scripting and scheduling/orchestration frameworks.
- Deploy and support data processing applications on Kubernetes / OpenShift (OCP4) / cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, data latency, and pipeline reliability issues in production environments.
- Contribute to AI/ML initiatives by providing well‑structured data pipelines and supporting feature engineering for AI models.
- Follow engineering best practices including code reviews, documentation, CI/CD, and mentoring junior engineers.
