Data Platform Engineer

About

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be involved in building and developing a cloud platform based on AWS and Databricks. You will work with infrastructure, networking, and automation using Terraform. Experience with cloud architecture, Databricks, and access management is essential. The role offers a combination of hands-on work and solution design in a modern cloud environment

Project

• design, implementation and management of cloud architecture in AWS with a focus on Databricks
• hands-on work with infrastructure and its optimization
• design of network architecture across on-prem and cloud environments
• implementation of infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
• setup and management of Databricks on AWS
• working with IAM (AWS and Databricks)
• support of automation and CI/CD processes

Skills

• strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture
• advanced knowledge of Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• experience with design and management of cloud infrastructure
• knowledge of networking (on-prem and cloud connectivity)
• experience with Databricks on AWS (setup, management, architecture)
• understanding of Databricks components and architecture
• experience with IAM (AWS and Databricks)
• experience with automation and infrastructure processes

Nice to have

• experience with Microsoft Azure
• experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
• experience with multi-cloud environments
• German language skills
