Position Purpose

The Data Science Intern will work with the Opensky team to delivery enhancements to the statistical models and monitoring used by Opensky.

Position Responsibilities

The Data Science intern will encompass the following objectives:

• The Intern will be introduced to the opensky’s data science team and will participate in meetings to learn about key initiatives. • The Intern will complete various assignments to further our data science roadmap, such as establishing automated model monitoring

Minimum Education & Experience

• Current enrollment in a related undergraduate degree program in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science)

Technical Knowledge And Skills

• Strong SQL and Python skills • Microsoft office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Understanding of statistical modeling concepts • Above average verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Compensation

• This is an unpaid internship.

Working Arrangements

• This role will work out of our Rockville, MD headquarters location on a hybrid basis as agreed upon with your manager.
