About the Chair

The Chair of Business Analytics and Sustainability is part of the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). We research the economic consequences of corporate financial and sustainability reporting. We use various methodological and technological approaches for the analytical evaluation of corporate reporting data, including Big Data analyses, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning. The chair works closely with partners from industry.

Your Responsibilities

• Contribution to national and international research projects of the chair
• Participation in exciting projects with industry partners
• Preparation and independent execution of courses in the areas of Corporate Reporting, Data Analytics, and/or Sustainability Reporting
• Assistance with event and chair organization

Your Profile

• Completed scientific university studies (Master/Diploma [Uni]) in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Accounting/Auditing, Controlling, or Business Informatics
• Applications from university graduates in Data Science are also welcome
• Knowledge of corporate databases and statistical analysis systems (e.g., Python, R, Stata) is advantageous
• Very good English skills (minimum C1 level)
• Enjoyment of scientific work and collaboration with students
• Cooperation and teamwork skills
• Initiative, effective time management, and an independent working style
