About the role

Your main tasks

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to provide high-quality data for AI, BI, and analytics use cases
  • Design, train, and validate machine learning and deep learning models to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into workflows, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Translate business needs into actionable insights through dashboards, visualizations, and presentations while keeping stakeholders aligned
  • Document solutions according to regulatory standards and share knowledge across the organization
  • Monitor, retrain, and maintain models based on feedback and evolving business needs
  • Drive adoption of data-driven processes and support stakeholders with best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, data engineering, and analytics to enhance solution capabilities
  • Optimize cost and resource usage of AI solutions
  • Track and report business impact of deployed solutions using KPIs
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and ethical standards throughout the data lifecycle

Your profile

  • Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying AI-based data products end-to-end
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methodology, AI/ML frameworks PyTorch, TensorFlow), and data engineering tools
  • Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and other relevant technologies
  • Solid scientific background in mathematics, statistics, probability, and AI
  • Experience with cloud platforms Azure) and cloud-based data lakes or warehouses Databricks, Dataiku)
  • Experience in regulated industries, ideally healthcare or MedTech, with understanding of compliance and data governance
  • Strong communicator and team player, translating complex technical concepts into business insights while embracing continuous learning
  • Full professional proficiency in German; fluent in English
