Role and Missions

Being a Data Scientist / ML Engineer at Oney, why is it better? More than a job... a mission for you! And what a mission!

As part of its AI roadmap, Oney is developing and accelerating the integration of Machine & Deep Learning, NLP, and Generative AI solutions to capitalize on data exploitation, operational process optimization, and customer experience improvement.

Within the Data Science pole of the Data Innovation & AI department, we are developing the new generation of AI tools and solutions that enable Oney to offer the best products and services to its customers.

Here are your main missions:

The 3 pillars of intervention for the pole are as follows:

• Credit Risk Scoring

  • For the Risk / Validation teams, you design and optimize scoring for granting and behavior, exploring innovative approaches
  • To ensure the stability of the Risk cost, you train and deploy these solutions, and ensure monitoring of model drift
  • Work in close collaboration with Business experts and Risk teams

• AI Solutions

  • Optimize the customer experience by integrating our AI models in real-time as APIs into our Digital journeys (real-time scoring, personalization of payment offers...)
  • For seamless integration of models, participate in technical architecture following best development practices (Cloud, MLOps)
  • Collaborate with product and IT teams to industrialize solutions

• GenAI

  • To transform our internal processes (Marketing, Audit, Risk, ...) as well as customer relations and support, prototype and deploy Generative AI solutions in Production as agents (LLM, RAG, ...)
  • To automate credit offer granting (Risk), complex document analysis tasks, and facilitate customer interaction, you implement agentic architectures
  • Evaluate, optimize, and monitor agent performance (coherence, diversity, LLM as a Judge, ...)

Profile and Required Skills

What we'll like most about you is you! So obviously we'll prefer you to be rigorous, autonomous, communicative, agile, and dynamic because that's what will allow you to best carry out your mission. In your baggage, we'd like to find:

Data Science & ML

• Solid experience in supervised models: Logistic Regression, Tree-based models, Gradient Boosting (XGBoost / LightGBM)
• Knowledge and application of explainable approaches (SHAP/LIME, explainable AI)
• Practice of generative models & LLMs (OpenAI, HuggingFace, fine-tuning)

Data Engineering & MLOps Ecosystem

• Excellent command of Python and the ML ecosystem: Pandas, Scikit-learn, MLflow, Pydantic, LangChain, LangGraph, FastAPI
• Packaging, CI/CD, tests (pytest), feature stores
• Deployment of models as APIs and automated pipelines (MLFlow, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Monitoring: data quality, performance, evaluation metrics, Back Testing, data / concept drift, RAGAS, LLM as a Judge

Tools & Cloud

• Azure (Azure ML, Foundry), Databricks, pySpark
• Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, GitLab, AzureDevOps

A technical knowledge of Snowflake and regulatory banking issues would be a plus (scoring, regulation).

Profile Sought

• You have 5 to 7 years of experience
• You have a mixed background: Data Science + production deployment / MLOps
• You are comfortable discussing both ML modeling and IT system architecture
• You know how to work with multiple business lines: Risk, Payment, Digital, Fraud, Compliance...
• You enjoy delivery, experimentation, and environments where AI has a direct impact on customer experience
• You have an appetite for Generative AI solutions and Agentic approaches
