Responsibilities

• Development, training, and fine-tuning of machine learning models
• Collaboration with data engineers to create robust data pipelines
• Deployment of models in production environments or prototypes
• Ensuring that models are reproducible and well-documented
• Selection of suitable algorithms for specific business challenges
• Performing cross-validation and backtesting of models
• Adherence to ethical AI guidelines and data governance regulations
• Explanation of model results for users
• Mentoring junior data scientists in advanced techniques
• Supporting the team in achieving its goals

Qualifications

• Profound knowledge of Python
• Knowledge of various machine learning methods (e.g., decision trees, ensembles, neural networks, clustering, Splunk)
• Experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large amounts of data
• Good understanding of MS SQL for data analysis and database optimization
• Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage
• Fluent English skills
• Fluent German skills
• University degree in IT or a related field
