Job Summary
We seek a Data Scientist with an entrepreneurial mindset to support a dynamic and growing data science team involved in crucial projects for National Security.
Responsibilities
- Develop statistical and machine learning models, perform natural language processing (NLP), and create automated solutions for intricate business problems.
- Construct and execute complex database queries across multiple databases utilizing SQL and API interfaces.
- Engage in web scraping and employ various techniques to process unstructured data.
- Utilize automation and machine learning to manage data, forecast scenarios, and provide data‑driven insights.
- Learn and utilize technologies such as AWS and Git.
Basic Qualifications
- Must hold TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8‑12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6‑10 years of experience. A Doctorate in a technical domain is also acceptable.
- Proficiency in Python is required.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction are essential.
- Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and natural language processing (NLP) is mandatory, including familiarity with NLP libraries and tools (e.g., spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, or TensorFlow).
- Knowledge of frequentist statistics, probability, predictive modeling, and concepts of computer science, data architecture, and statistical methods is required.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib) is necessary.
Pay Range
$107,900.00 – $195,050.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors will be considered when extending an offer, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
