Key Responsibilities

  • Develop predictive models using remote sensing and phenotyping imaging data.
  • Prepare comprehensive model documentation, including problem formulation, methodology, validation, and implementation steps.
  • Follow data science best practices (peer review, code review, documentation, reproducibility).

Qualifications

  • D. or MS with 4+ years of experience in Data Science, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Robotics, or related fields.
  • Proven experience with remote sensing.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques for image analysis; experience with plant phenotyping data is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and image processing tools (OpenCV).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for large-scale data processing and deployment.
  • Proficient in Python (or other high-level languages) with version control experience (Git).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • High sense of ownership, motivated to deliver impactful results.
