Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead the data framework, focusing on data modeling, governance, and sustainability to meet the needs of both technical and non-technical users.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive data models that reflect the organization’s information architecture.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across various databases through normalization practices.
• Monitor database performance and implement optimizations to enhance responsiveness and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve database tuning issues and explore optimization opportunities.
• Implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards in data management.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on database-related challenges.
• Collaborate with the team to create technical documentation, including development plans, architecture specifications, testing procedures, and deployment processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in data architecture or data management.
• At least five (5) years of proven experience in structuring fragmented data environments.
• Five (5) years of experience with the Microsoft data ecosystem, including SharePoint, Azure, and Power BI.
• Five (5) years of experience applying data governance practices.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a related field is essential.

Citizenship Requirement

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Security Clearance Requirements

Must possess or be eligible for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.

• This is a 12-month contract supporting a federal government agency and is contingent upon contract award.
• This is a 1099 position; please be ready to provide an hourly rate.
• Some travel will be required to Arlington, VA, and Paris, France. A current U.S. passport is necessary.

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and successful completion of a government security investigation. Selected candidates will be subject to a background check including criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and credit assessment.
