Role is hybrid in the Allentown, PA OR Walbert, PA (Should be at Onsite on Tues, weds, thurs)

Job Duties

• Distributed Energy Resource (DER) planning and evaluating system impacts
• DER standards including energy storage (battery), solar PV inverters
• Working knowledge of IEEE 1547.2018 and UL 1741
• Voltage optimization, hosting capacity, and power flow analysis
• DER standards including energy storage (battery), solar PV inverters
• Communications of remotely operable distribution devices
• Working knowledge of IEEE 1547.2018 and UL 1741
• Support to the development of the DER Management program at PPL such as voltage management, network communication, data mapping, process development, and system operations requirements to manage distributed energy resources.
• Experience in voltage management and DER reporting is a preferred requirement to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required
• Role is heavy in data programming – will be working in excel frequently so solid understanding is required.
• PYTHON experience 1 yr is preferred
• Computer Programming background preferred
• MODBUS 2030.5 experience preferred.
• Computer literacy in essential functions like Outlook, virtual desktop and Teams are required.
