Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Terraform modules that are reusable, versioned, and aligned to enterprise standards (naming, tagging, logging, networking).
• Implement GitHub-based delivery PR gates, mandatory reviews, branch protection, release tagging, and promotion strategy (dev test prod).
• Develop CICD pipelines in GitHub Actions automated linting, validation, plan, security scanning, approvals, and controlled applies.
• Establish IaC engineering standards module design guidelines, documentation, examples, contribution rules, and versioning strategy.
• Integrate policy and security controls into pipelines (policy-as-code, scanning, secrets management, RBAC).
• Reduce provisioning lead time by improving automation and module reuse enable self-service patterns with guardrails.
• Partner with platform ops teams to map requirements Terraform inputs/variables, and support adoption through coaching and playbooks.
• Operate and improve state management remote backends, locking, drift detection, recovery procedures, and auditing.

Job Requirements

• 6-10 years in infrastructure cloud engineering with 3-4 years Terraform in production.
• Strong Terraform expertise modules, remote state, state locking, workspaces, dependency management, provider/versioning strategies.
• Strong GitHub proficiency branching strategies, PR governance, code reviews, merge policies, protected branches.
• CICD with GitHub Actions terraform fmt/validate/plan/apply workflows, environment promotions, approvals, secrets handling.
• Practical cloud knowledge (Azure preferred AWS/GCP acceptable) networking, identity, compute, storage, policy/guardrails.
• Secure IaC delivery integrate with secret stores, RBAC/least privilege, policy checks (OPA/Conftest, Sentinel, Azure Policy).
• Strong troubleshooting skills resolve state drift, provider auth issues, plan/apply failures, concurrency and locking, pipeline failures.
• Communication stakeholder management can translate requirements into module design and coach teams on standard patterns.

Education Requirements

• Bachelors Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (can be marked optional or flexible)

• Microsoft Azure Certified Developer, Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate
