About the role

About Revecore

For over 25 years, Revecore has been at the forefront of specialized claims management, helping healthcare providers recover meaningful revenue to enhance quality patient care in their communities. We're powered by people, driven by technology, and dedicated to our clients and employees. If you're looking for a collaborative and diverse culture with a great work/life balance, look no further.

We are a healthcare revenue cycle company delivering high-impact financial outcomes for medical service providers through two core business lines: Underpayments (Bridge) and Complex Claims (AcciClaim). As we scale both platforms and the engineering organizations that support them, we are investing in a new Enterprise Engineering function - a shared services team purpose-built to design, build, and govern the common service layer that powers both platforms.

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Enterprise Engineering Director to found and lead this team. This is a greenfield opportunity: you will hire the initial team, define the shared services architecture, and establish the engineering standards, governance, and delivery practices that will serve as the foundation for Revecore's enterprise platform for years to come. You will partner closely with the VP of Software Engineering and the VP of AI and Data, as well as the product and engineering leaders of AI teams, Data team, Bridge development team, and AcciClaim development team, to ensure that common services are reliable, reusable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

As a director-level leader, you will own both the technical and organizational dimensions of this team - from recruiting and growing engineers to defining the API contract standards that downstream teams depend on. This role demands deep technical credibility in .NET and cloud-native architectures combined with the leadership maturity to build a high-performing team and influence across a complex engineering organization.

Revecore is committed to building an AI-forward engineering organization. The Enterprise Engineering Director will be expected to model and champion the use of AI-accelerated development practices - including AI coding assistants such as Claude Code - and to establish team norms that embed these tools into how the team designs, builds, reviews, and ships software. We believe AI tools are a meaningful force multiplier for engineering teams and expect our leaders to lead by example in adopting them thoughtfully.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Team Building and People Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard the founding members of the Enterprise Engineering team, starting with a Senior Software Engineer and a mid-level Software Engineer.
  • Mentor, develop, and retain engineering talent through regular 1:1s, career development planning, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a team culture grounded in engineering excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish onboarding practices, team rituals, and documentation standards that enable the team to scale effectively.

Architecture and Technical Leadership

  • Design and own the shared services architecture: RESTful API contracts, microservices boundaries, data access patterns, and integration strategies across Bridge and AcciClaim.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement the frameworks, tooling, and cloud-native services (Azure, Snowflake) that underpin the shared service layer.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards for code quality, API design, security, observability, and HIPAA/PHI compliance.
  • Provide architectural guidance and hands-on technical leadership to ensure the team delivers high-quality, well-documented services.
  • Collaborate with the leaders of other development teams to design shared data services and integrate Snowflake-based data capabilities into the platform.
  • Evaluate, adopt, and champion AI-powered engineering tools - including AI coding assistants, AI-assisted code review, and AI-accelerated testing - as first-class components of the team's technical toolchain.

Platform Strategy and Delivery

  • Define the Enterprise Engineering roadmap in partnership with business and product stakeholders, prioritizing shared services that deliver the greatest cross-platform value.
  • Own delivery of shared services from design through deployment, ensuring quality, reliability, and operational readiness.
  • Drive adoption of shared services across the Bridge and AcciClaim engineering teams, managing change and providing clear integration guidance.
  • Monitor platform health, track SLAs for shared services, and lead resolution of incidents or performance issues.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with the VP of Software Engineering, VP of AI and Data, engineering managers, and product leaders across both business lines to ensure shared services meet platform requirements.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams to align CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure standards, and deployment practices.
  • Represent the Enterprise Engineering team in engineering leadership forums, contributing to org-wide technical strategy.
  • Work with Legal, Security, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure all shared services adhere to HIPAA, PHI data handling, and security requirements.

Process, Governance, and Continuous Improvement

  • Define and implement Agile delivery practices for the Enterprise Engineering team, including sprint ceremonies, backlog management, and release processes.
  • Establish API versioning, deprecation, and change management governance to ensure downstream teams can depend on shared services with confidence.
  • Champion the adoption of AI-accelerated development tools and practices - including AI coding assistants such as Claude Code - across the Enterprise Engineering team and, in partnership with engineering leadership, across Revecore's broader engineering organization.
  • Drive the adoption of AI-powered product development lifecycle (PDLC) practices - including AI-assisted requirements definition, specification authoring, and technical design - enabling a spec-driven development workflow where AI-generated artifacts guide implementation, in close partnership with Product Management and the engineering leaders.
  • Contribute to improving SDLC processes, engineering metrics, and tooling across the broader engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in engineering leadership or management roles.
  • Proven track record building or leading shared services, platform engineering, or enterprise API teams.
  • Deep expertise in .NET/C# and SQL Server, with a strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native services in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms, and familiarity with data engineering patterns.
  • Demonstrated success hiring, growing, and retaining engineering talent in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong architectural judgment with the ability to balance technical rigor against delivery pragmatism.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, product, and business functions.
  • Experience ensuring HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI/PII in software systems.
  • Demonstrated comfort with and enthusiasm for AI-augmented development practices; active experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and a track record of encouraging their adoption within engineering teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), including familiarity with EDI standards (837, 835, 270/271) and payer-provider integration workflows.
  • Background in designing and governing internal developer platforms or API gateways used by multiple product teams.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queuing (e.g., Azure Service Bus), and asynchronous processing patterns.
  • Prior experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities within a multi-team engineering organization.
  • Experience in a growth-stage or mid-sized SaaS company scaling shared infrastructure alongside product lines.
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills, with the ability to convey technical strategy to non-technical leadership.

Work at Home Requirements

  • A quiet, distraction-free environment to work from in your home.
  • A secure internet connection is required.
