About the role
As the Global Practice Lead for Product & System Development, you will be responsible for owning the global strategy, development, and evolution of the core Practice. Your role will involve leading the creation of standardized, scalable, and compliant solutions that deliver measurable business impact for clients across industries and geographies. Your mission will be to drive global alignment, foster innovation, and cultivate a connected community of practice professionals to accelerate delivery excellence and strengthen competitive differentiation. This role combines strategic leadership, technical authority, and people enablement.
- Client-Facing Technical Leadership - Build and lead a pool of senior experts to support pre-sales, proposals, and technical workshops. - Represent the Practice in strategic client engagements, demonstrating thought leadership in engineering methodologies, quality assurance, and compliance. - Partner with business development and delivery teams to ensure technical excellence and value creation. - Provide expertise during bid execution, account escalations, and critical project improvement actions.
- Global Skill & Capability Development - Assess and map current skill distributions across global delivery centers (onshore/offshore). - Define a forward-looking capability roadmap aligned with emerging technologies and industry direction. - Drive reskilling and upskilling initiatives, identifying key investment areas in capability building.
- Community Enablement & Leadership - Establish and lead global communities of practice within the discipline. - Foster cross-country collaboration, innovation sharing, and best practice exchange.
- Talent Development & Market Readiness - Translate capability plans into tangible training programs and career development paths. - Promote internal certifications, tool proficiency, and domain specialization (e.g., Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, etc.).
- Global Solution Development - Lead the design, standardization, and industrialization of global on-the-shelf solutions for the Practice. - Define reusable frameworks, templates, and toolkits to ensure consistent and efficient delivery worldwide. - Collaborate with regional and business unit leads to localize solutions while maintaining global quality and compliance.
- Best Practices & Governance - Define, implement, and maintain global standards, policies, and governance frameworks for the Practice. - Ensure alignment with industry norms, safety, and compliance expectations. - Track and monitor practice performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and delivery consistency. - Maintain and evolve the global go-to-market strategy for the Practice.
You should have 15+ years of experience in digital engineering, product development, or smart industry domains. A strong understanding of system engineering, design & mechanical engineering, and product life cycle is required. Proven leadership of global practices, CoEs, or technology domains in a multinational context is essential. Demonstrated experience in building standardized solutions and frameworks across countries, along with familiarity with emerging technologies, delivery models, and digital transformation trends are also key requirements. Additionally, knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks within the domain such as ISO, IEC, automotive, or aerospace standards is expected.
