Role and Responsibilities of Distinguished Architect:

You will design and lead technical solutions that span multiple commerce platforms and integrate with a variety of systems. You will ensure that solutions are resilient, scalable, and focused on improving the end customer experience. You will also provide technical leadership to engineering teams and guide architectural practices across projects.

• Design technical architecture solutions spanning multiple commerce platforms and integrating multiple systems
• Create accessible interfaces and technology solutions for use by multiple teams
• Ensure designs prioritize customer experience while maintaining resilience and scalability
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
• Build partnerships with cross-discipline team members and stakeholders
• Analyze existing solution designs to optimize performance and support business growth
• Collaborate with business teams to identify future needs and requirements
• Define development standards, engineering practices, and incident management processes
• Translate business requirements into architecture and technology plans leveraging domain knowledge

Required Skills and Experience of Distinguished Architect:

• 10+ years of experience in software development
• 5+ years of experience as a technical architect
• Experience gathering requirements by collaborating with business and product partners
• Proven experience delivering software using Agile methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in commerce or e-commerce platforms
• Customer-focused with a deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, preferably in Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Technical mindset with attention to detail and familiarity with modern development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
• Expertise with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple locations
• Strong business, organizational, and analytical skills with excellent technical abilities

Compensation and Benefits of Distinguished Architect:

• Pay: Annual salary range $130,000-$338,000
• Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock awards
