What We Need You For

• Your tasks include the development and optimization of image processing and object recognition algorithms for embedded systems.
• You will develop the software for our commercial dishwashers in C and C++ for applications on microprocessor platforms.
• You will optimize performance, considering memory and processing constraints.
• You will perform profiling and debugging directly on embedded hardware.
• The generation of synthetic training data for object recognition models, for example through simulation, rendering, or augmentation, is part of your area of responsibility.
• Furthermore, you will integrate the developed algorithms into existing software architectures.
• To achieve holistic system optimization, you will work closely with your software development team and the hardware department.
• To ensure clear and structured communication, you will create technical documentation and specifications.

What We Wish For

• A completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, communications engineering, or a comparable field forms the basis of your qualifications.
• You have relevant professional experience in embedded programming (C/C++, ARM architectures, real-time operating systems).
• You possess several years of practical knowledge in optimization techniques for resource-constrained systems (e.g., fixed-point arithmetic, SIMD, multi-threading), as well as experience in creating synthetic training data (e.g., with modeling tools from robotics).
• Your knowledge of machine learning approaches for object recognition, even without dedicated hardware acceleration, is a valuable asset to us.
• Furthermore, you have experience with version control (Git) and enjoy working with agile methodologies.
• Your profile is rounded off by good German and good English language skills.
