Embedded Systems Engineer, Safety-Critical Applications (m/w/d) - J38544

Overview

You will design embedded solutions for safety-relevant applications and accompany products from conception to verification. You will find short decision paths, development perspectives and flexible working hours for a balanced work-life balance. Technologically, you will work with programming languages such as C, C++ or Rust, real-time and embedded OS such as QNX, FreeRTOS or Embedded Linux, as well as UI frameworks such as Flutter or Qt. The projects run in regulated development environments, for example in medical technology or in technology-oriented industrial and service projects. You will take responsibility for software quality and actively contribute to process improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop Embedded software components for safety-relevant products
• Implement and debug modules in C and C++ on real-time and embedded OS
• Develop software concepts, specifications and support system integration
• Create and expand modern user interfaces with Flutter or alternative UI frameworks
• Perform code reviews and unit and integration tests and increase test coverage
• Work closely with hardware teams and support with circuit and PCB questions
• Document development artifacts according to regulatory requirements and accompany verification activities

Your Profile

• Completed degree in technical computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in embedded development, ideally in regulated environments
• Very good knowledge of C and C++ as well as experience with debugging and software tests
• Practical experience with real-time OS or embedded Linux variants and Linux workflows such as Yocto
• Knowledge of Flutter or other modern UI frameworks and also work with Windows applications
• Good English and very good German language skills as well as a structured, self-reliant way of working
