The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for an Endpoint Solutions Engineer to strengthen our dynamic DES (Defense Enclave Services) team supporting DISA. This role will be offered on a hybrid basis.
Program Summary
Our Defense Enclave Services contract is designed to unify the common use information technology systems across the DoD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities. Under DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office, this initiative will create a modernized network architecture called DoDNet, providing mission services that enhance user experience, bolster security, and improve network reliability.
Clearance Requirement
Must possess an ACTIVE SECRET or higher clearance. (US Citizenship is required)
Job Summary
As an Endpoint Solutions Engineer, you will specialize in designing, deploying, and securing end-user devices (such as workstations and laptops) utilizing tools like Intune, MCM, and SCCM. You will ensure the proper deployment of OS images, manage software updates, enforce security policies (EDR/AV), and automate workflows, creating a stable, compliant, and efficient computing environment for endpoint migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Endpoint Management & Provisioning: Overseeing the entire lifecycle of devices including imaging, configuration, and decommissioning, employing tools like Intune, SCCM/MECM, or Jamf.
- Security & Patch Management: Establishing and enforcing robust endpoint security baselines, ensuring timely OS and application patching, and managing EDR/AV software.
- Automation & Scripting: Utilizing PowerShell, Python, or bash for automating software deployment, configuration changes, and compliance remediation.
- Application Packaging: Reviewing application rationale and ensuring comprehensive preparation for the deployment of software applications across Windows environments.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to endpoints that standard IT support cannot resolve.
- Compliance & Reporting: Monitoring device health and security compliance, maintaining thorough documentation, and ensuring adherence to security policies (e.g., NIST, DISA STIGs).
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: BA Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Tools: In-depth understanding of Microsoft Intune, MECM (SCCM), Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- 8140 Certification: Required.
- Security Knowledge: Familiarity with various endpoint security tools.
