Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a highly skilled team that defines the technical foundation of the company
• Shape the backend architecture by providing guidelines and best practices for backend development
• Maintain and evolve the shop monolith to modern standards
• Develop tooling and boilerplate code to empower other teams to build and manage backend services
• Maintain and improve an existing mailing service handling email templating and delivery
• Ensure the mailing service remains stable and adaptable to new requirements
• Support teams by providing a project-based IAM solution deployable independently
• Initially focus on hands-on technical tasks to deeply understand infrastructure and system
• Take over managerial tasks and act as people manager for the team
• Contribute actively to development efforts using backend technologies such as Golang and PHP
• Advance team members’ skills and careers and inspire them through purpose
• Continuously raise the engineering bar with experience and passion for software excellence
• Be responsible for delivery of IAM and Mailing product balancing time, budget, and quality
• Develop, monitor and own relevant KPIs for teams (cost, SLAs, SLIs)
• Contribute to guidelines, policies and standards to improve work processes

Your profile

• Background in a product team focusing on technical solutions and owning products end-to-end
• Several years of hands-on engineering experience in Golang
• Knowledge of PHP
• Initial leadership experience through mentoring, coaching, or managerial position is beneficial but not required
• Experience with cloud and infrastructure resources and familiarity with Kubernetes
• Fluent in English (C1)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with product teams
• Results-oriented approach with focus on delivering top-notch solutions
