In the business unit Development Electronic Implants & External Devices, active electronic implants such as pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, including all software and hardware system components, as well as all associated implantation aids and follow-up devices, are developed. Within the unit, the Hardware Development department is responsible for the circuit design of hybrid circuits.

Your Tasks

• Design of analog and digital circuits with diverse functions, taking into account relevant influencing factors and interface requirements
• Conception and development of electronic systems for various functions of implants and implant systems, including interface design and implementation
• Development of automation concepts for measurement and testing
• Analysis and evaluation of development results regarding functionality, reliability, and system integration
• Technical support of new components, assemblies, and systems within interdisciplinary development projects
• Creation and monitoring of cost and time plans, prioritization of tasks, and execution of progress controls and, if necessary, initiation of corrective measures
• Close coordination with adjacent specialist areas as well as presentation and representation of project results to internal and external stakeholders

Your Profile

• Completed studies in electrical engineering
• Several years of professional experience or doctoral activity in the design of analog circuits, as well as comprehensive knowledge in the field of low-power and low-voltage design
• Good programming skills for automating design and measurement tasks, especially in scripting languages such as Python or Matlab
• Experience with documentation and norm requirements in a strictly regulated environment (such as medical devices) is an advantage
• Successfully realized projects in hardware and software
• Experience working with international teams
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
